So it's been almost a year since I made a journal entry... therefore I figured it was time for an update

Minamicon 18
So a quick review of the long since over Minamicon 18!  Friday & Sunday and I cosplayed as Zoro (me) and Sanji (her) from One Piece Unlimited Cruise.  It was a last minute rush and we both were up finishing them off Thursday evening haha!  But we're good at being in character as these guys so we spent most of the time arguing   on Sunday joined us as Koby and we ended up with a fairly large One Piece group for photos!  Saturday was 's birthday so we cosplayed Shizuo and Izaya from Durarara!! and had an interesting strip poker photo shoot!

MCM Expo May 2012
Friday - Traveled up with on the Friday!  I was cosplaying as Sarutobi Sasuke (Gakuen Version) from Sengoku Basara.  Met up with who was my Yukimura along with our Kojuro, Oiichi and Masamune.  Had a mini photoshoot ^__^.
Saturday - cosplayed as Sasuke in his normal attire.  Got stopped for a picture by his English dub VA who said I looked awesome   Had photos with our little Sengoku group!
Sunday - cosplayed as Marauder's era Sirius Black with as my Remus!  Had fun learning about Muggle things all day haha!

Dolls~!
So things have changed a fair bit on the doll front!  My Iplehouse Tatiana has gone!  I traded her for a Dollndoll Loren because I've decided that MSDs are just too small for me!  And the new girl is lovely!  She's definitely taking the persona of my character Astrid!  I finished Yuya by changing his face up!  I'm very happy with how my little rich boy turned out!  I also used my birthday money to purchase a Doll Family H-Line Qing Lu from Alice's Collections. He arrived so fast, I hadn't ordered any of his bits because I thought I'd have at least another 30 days before he arrived!!!  He was dispatched on a Friday from Hong Kong and arrived on the Monday!!  He's my lovely, arrogant sadist, Sherriff!  I'll be uploading some pictures of him soon!
And, um I sort of maybe did something VERY random!  I've bought myself a Volks Cecile, first edition from 2002.  But he's a secret... I figure my family won't understand him yet haha!  But yay my first Volks boy   So he should be arriving next week sometime *fingers crossed* XD

And that's about it news wise~!  Random journal is random!!

So here's a little catch up on things since its been SO long since I've updated XD

EXPO
Friday
So and I took the coach up to London dressed as TYL!Tsuna and TYL!Gokudera from Katekyo Hitman Reborn!  We found our hotel which was well out of the way from expo   and met up with various friends including , , and lots of others ^__^  Generally just a lazy day though we got collared by a few of the Doctors from the medical conference who all wanted pictures with us... so random!  Managed to get my VG ring for Tsuna too!!!

Saturday
Saturday was KHR day again!  Today I was Vongola Gear Tsuna and was VG!Gokudera.  Didn't spend much time inside - things were so expensive =_= I met up with , was great to see her since Minamicon felt so long ago!  I attended the D.Gray-man shoot with my other roommate, Katherine, who was doing her first cosplay as Lavi.   was there as Komui, wasn't a bad shoot considering someone had to step in last minute to run it as the girl who organised it on the forums was queuing to try and get a ticket!!!  The KHR meet was good fun, there were only three of us from the Shimon Arc (Enma didn't make it as they were queuing for a ticket) and neither did the four others, such a shame but the wristband police were hot on everyone's case :S Managed to watch the masquerade too, EuroCosplay qualifier!  Really impressed with the UK winning entry, someday I hope I can make a cosplay that awesome! In the evening, had a great meal at the onsite Japanese restaurant with , , and Katherine.

Sunday
Sunday was Hetalia Day... Austrian Succession for myself, , , and a few others!  I can't believe how many Hetalians turned up for the shoot (including my favourite  china )  Unfortunately missed the AS part of the shoot and he had the camera but luckily the others got lots of photos ^__^  There were a few bargins to pick up as well!  Managed to get several ££s knocked of various DVDs!

On a general Expo note though, I thought it was unusually quiet.  I don't know if that was because of Big Brother being there or because many people couldn't get hotels because of the Doctors conference but I felt it was quite noticeable.  Also, I know they're freebies and I shouldn't moan but, I felt that the early entry freebie bags were really hit or miss this year.  The bag I picked up on Saturday had only leaflets and posters whilst Katherine got a DVD and then sunday, I again just got paper bits & bobs whilst got LOTS of bits, DVDs etc, it wasn't very well organised compared to previous years where all bags had the same sort of thing in them...  All in all, a good expo, great to catch up with friends ^^

X JAPAN
Where to start with this!!!  X have been my favourite band since god knows when and to actually have a chance to see them... I was so stoked XD  Buuttt I had exams in the morning (both of which I passed btw) so and I headed up after they were finished.  We met up with :iconmonochromatt~, Little Sarah and Alex in Chinatown before going to the Troc and then on to the O2 Empire at Sheperds Bush around 5ish.  Saw a few people I haven't seen in ages which was nice but the wait seemed so LONG!!!   Ok so it was so long!  Doors were supposed to open at 7pm but we didn't get in until gone 8!!!  I managed to get a Tee from the merch stand by which time the support band had already finished.  We then had an hour wait until X actually came on!  I managed to get us through the crowd a bit fairly near the front which I was so pleased about as the stage was so low people further back in the crowd would have only been able to see Yoshiki whose drum kit was set higher up than the rest of the band.

But they were AMAZING!  They played so many epic songs, Drain, IV, Rusty Nail, Art of Life (from and including Yoshiki's piano bit!), among many others, and Sugizo had a violin solo (he snuck the intro to Providence in there!) and then the crowd singing along to Endless Rain!  Yoshiki and Toshi cried at the crowds reaction when 'hide' was mentioned ^^ and I'll never think of PG Tips in the same way again, I quote Yoshiki "It's hot in here, like PG fucking Tips!".  Yoshiki's crowd surfing was hilarious, no one was prepared for it and he almost immediately hit the ground!  I had my hand on his back, trying to help keep him but along side various other people but it took the security guards at the front to pull him up and out XD

All in all, an incredible gig but the worst organised gig that I have EVER been to (and I've been to a lot of gigs).  I didn't think much of the O2 Empire at all.  Not to mention, the gig didn't let out until 11.30 as it started so late.  We made the last train but barely (2 minutes to spare literally) and I know a lot of other people were in a similar situation to us :S  But X were awesome and that's the point, right?

THE NETHERLANDS
So on the 2nd July I headed off to Holland for a few days!  I still can't get over how mad Schipol airport it!  I've been there a couple of times now and it amuses me.  To get from the plane to the baggage bit you have to walk through the departure lounge and duty free!!  Not to mention, when leaving, they don't scan your hand luggage until you get to the gate (after duty free)!!  But I like the quirky airport^__^  My friend, who lives out there, picked us up from the airport and back to her top floor apartment in Haarlem.  It had such lovely views across the canal and you were able to see the traditional Windmill from it too!
We spent the day shopping in Haarlem and then had the evening out, going to a Spoon's-like bar called Studio (or something) and then XO.  I suddenly realise why there are no glass glasses in English clubs - I was wearing flipflops by the time we got to XO and there was glass all over the floor (and thus in my flipflops).  Some of the popular music over there makes me laugh... if you have time, look up Loca People by Sak Noel!!

Sunday was hangover day   which meant a day in Zandvoort on the beach (good thing it was hot!!)  Zandvoort is literally a 10min train ride from Haarlem and you can cycle the route which would have been nice if we had had bikes (and not been hungover) XD  There were some lovely cafe/bars on the beach and we found one where we literally sat for the afternoon!  Had a nice traditional dutch kroket, they're lovely!  And then went for a dip in the water (ok so we walked through it out to a sandbank XD) on the way back from the sandbar to the beach, we had to avoid the jellyfish XD

Monday was Amsterdam day ^__^  I'm not a huge fan of Amsterdam after my last visit there but it was a nice day!  We went to the House of Bols and sampled cocktails, the museum entry fee was 11.50 euros and that included a cocktail (I had a cosmopolitan but with Bols Jenever rather than vodka) and two shots (I chose Bols Butterscotch which was amazing and Natural yoghurt which was nice too!!)  Unfortunately we couldn't exactly bring much back as we were hang luggage only but we managed to find a couple of bottles under 100ml!!!

(I'm considering the Netherlands as a future cosplay since I like the place so much, its lekker XD)

DOLL NEWS
Well my lovely got me my grail doll as a present for passing my exams   Ringdoll Don, now named Zhao Huang (Surname,Forename) makes a lovely addition to my family XD  Plus his wig and all their new clothes arrived from Tata's Paradise on Monday so I'm super happy!!  Pictures will appear soon ^__^  I'm seriously toying with selling my MSD Iplehouse girl though... I've given her a new face up and I am actually beginning to like her but there's something that's come up that I want to buy and I may have to sell her in order to do so (out of my four dolls she'd be the first to go (Raisel or Huang would be last!)).  But hey ho, she's a pretty little thing ^__^  Going to definitely sell my Souldoll Soulkid W.Pin head though, will do a final face up and advertise her.  I'm never going to get a body for her and, for the same (secret) reason as above, I could do with the money!!

Well I think that's all my news now up to day (jeez it's been so long that I've been meaning to do this for >.<)  So yeah... I'm sure I'll update some time... maybe...?

Sooo... just a quick update 'cause I haven't updated in a while ^^

I ordered myself a new doll the other day!  My first girl!  An Iplehouse JID Tatiana WS link she's so pretty   then, just after I ordered her, my Grail Doll, Ringdoll Teen Don, appeared on Ebay so I just had to get him too >.<

Well, actually is helping me get him and its on the proviso that I pass my accounting exams so I can't actually see him until the end of June *cries*

Then, there's the excitement of expo..eeek!!  Sneaking up very quickly!  I haven't started my Vongola Gear! Tsuna yet so I'd better get a move on!  Austrian Succession France arrived, it's so BEAUTIFUL!  I love it so much and can't wait for the AS group on Sunday!  I've just got to decide on my third cosplay for the weekend!

Oh yeah... Lavi (2nd Uniform) is officially retired, I sold it last week so, if I am to cosplay Lavi again, it'll be his 3rd uniform (since I really want that one XD)

Soooo.... where to start...?

Ok first things first!  My new boy arrived today   He's a Luts Cerberus Project Redemption the Moon (full set) serial no. 59/100  XD he's not brand new, I got him for a bargin price on ebay but he needs restringing and has some bad staining from his trousers (he has no pants D: ) otherwise he's perfect!  And Raisel doesn't mind him too much heh~!

Other another note, I'm selling lots of Manga cheaply on ebay at the moment so if anyone is interested... LINK

Now... onto cosplay talk!

Minamicon comes first!!  It was so great   I had such a good time with and along with lots of other con buddies and new ones too ^^ It was much more relaxed than Expo and there were LOTS more bargins and much less overprice knock offs ^^  On the Saturday we had a big Durarara!! Meet so there will be lots of photos appearing soon!!

Last Wednesday, I got a facebook message from a journalist wanting to do an interview with local cosplayers!  So I got a few local cosplay buddies ( and Freya, couldn't come )  It was great!  We talked about cosplay for an hour-hour and a half then had a photoshoot ^^  I cosplayed France (Hetalia) and Sanzo (Saiyuki) it was just great fun ^^

Now, onto future cosplay plans...

Due to money issues I've had to drop a couple from May.  Bak Chan is now on hold until (probably) Minamicon next year.  Irie Shoichi is also postponed but only until October this year ^^

Now my plans for May are:
